BrainShift

Terms of use

Version [1] · Last updated [date]

These terms are the agreement between you and [Business name] for using BrainShift. By agreeing, you (or your parent or guardian, for you) accept them.

Who can use BrainShift

BrainShift is for students studying VCE or similar. You need an invitation to join [for now]. If you're under 15, a parent or guardian must agree for you. If you're 15 to 17, either you or a parent or guardian can agree.

Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself and don't share your account. Tell us at [support email] if you think someone else has used it. You're responsible for what's done with your account.

Using BrainShift fairly

Don't:

  • upload anything illegal, harmful, or other people's personal information;
  • try to get around usage limits, break or overload BrainShift, or access other people's work;
  • use BrainShift to harass anyone, or to create content that breaks the law.

We may pause or close an account that breaks these rules.

SACs, exams and your school's rules

BrainShift is for learning and practice. Follow your school's and the VCAA's rules on authentication: don't use BrainShift during a SAC or exam, or to write work you'll submit as your own. Your teacher's mark is the one that counts.

AI answers can be wrong

BrainShift's answers and marks come from AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check important answers with your teacher or your textbook. Marks from BrainShift are estimates, not official results.

Your content

Your work stays yours. You let us store and process it to run BrainShift for you, and to improve it as the privacy notice describes. Tips from contributors and BrainShift's own content belong to their owners; you can use them for your own study.

Plans and limits

Each plan has daily limits on AI use and uploads. We may change limits and features, and we'll tell you about changes that matter. [Payments: no paid plans yet.]

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop running BrainShift, and we'll give notice where we can.

Our responsibility

We work to keep BrainShift running and accurate, but we provide it as it is and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. [Liability wording to be checked by a lawyer.]

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the version and ask you to agree again.
